Explanations of Awards:

 

Los Honorable Descubridores

This is a special award giving by the Crowns and Estates of Castilles.
The name roughly translates as “Founding Fathers”.
 The highest individual award given within the Kingdom of Castilles.

 

Requirements: 1. Individual must have been a member of the Kingdom of York and
transferred to Castilles during the initial formation of the new subdivision.

2. Individual must have been in a significant Ministry or Estate position
 during the formation of Castilles and made a valuable contribution to the initial formation of Castilles.

 3. Said individual must have then remained a continuous
active member of Castilles for the first five years of the subdivision.

  4. Any additional names may only be added by the direction of the Estates of Castilles.

 Those so honored may wear a purple garter on their upper arm,
in addition to any other awards earned.

 

Barons and Baroness of the Court of Castilles

This award is given by the Crown in place of a second award of Lord or Lady of the Court of Castilles.
May wear a coronet. May be addressed as “Your Excellency”. May use the title of Baron or Baroness.

Badge: Azure a castle and four seashells in cross argent bordered Or.

 

Lords & Ladies of the Court of Castilles

Awarded by the Crown for exceptional service to the Kingdom.
May be addressed as Lord or Lady. May wear a circlet.

Badge: Azure a castle and four seashells in cross argent.

 

Dame Wisdom Memorial Award

Awarded by the Crown for displaying significant “Attitude” while exceptionally serving the Kingdom
 in a wide variety of positions and duties. Badge: Azure, an arm dexter, upraised holding a frying pan argent.

 

Royal Star

Awarded by the Crown for outstanding performance by a newcomer during their first year in the game.

Badge: Argent, a star Or.

 

Order of the Crown Companions

Awarded by the Crown to individuals for displaying high standards of chivalry and good fellowship.
Those who by their continued activities and demeanor contribute to the enjoyment and realism of events.


This Order grants precedence equal to that of a Lord or Lady.


A member of this Order wears a garter on the upper arm,
the color of the garter determined by the field in which the Order was granted:

a. Non-Knight-White

b. Knight Combatant-Black

c. Knight Artisan-Blue

d. Knight Minister-Red

e. Knight Archer-Green

 

Royal Order of the Queen’s Guard

Awarded by the Crown for extraordinary skill, chivalry and style on the battlefield.

Badge: Azure, a fleur-de-lis Or.

 

Nobel Order of the Golden Spoon

Awarded by the Crown to an individual for the preparation and serving of exceptional,

 period food dishes during a crown banquet.

Badge: Azure, two spoons in saltire Or.

 

Nobel Order of the Crown Guards

Granted by the Crown or a Great Estate to individuals who display extraordinary courage,

chivalry and grace on the battlefield.

Badge: Sable, two spears in saltire Or.

 

Order of the Royal Yeomen

Awarded by the Crown for special service to the kingdom.

Badge: Azure, a key in bend sinister Or.

 

Crown Seal of Excellence

Awarded to a group for outstanding service to the Kingdom.

 

Winners of the Campeo’n del Estoque

These are the winners of a special Crown Rapier Tournament.

The name translates “Champion of Rapier”.

Badge: Azure, a rapier in fess, proper.

Repeat winners may display a “mullet Or” on the badge.

 

Star of Leon

Awarded by the March de Leon for outstanding service to the March.

Badge: Per chevron inverted, sable and purpure, a mullet Or.
